    Redbacks Secure Both Club Championships!

    The Glenmore Park Cricket Club, which not so long ago emerged from humble beginnings, has completed a rare double securing both the Penrith Junior Cricket Association and Nepean District Cricket Association Club Championships in the same season!

    Not only has the club won both club championships this season, it's done so with some of the biggest winning margins ever seen!

    The PJCA Club Championship is calculated using the best five teams results at the end of the regular season, this method of calculation generally ensures a close race which regularly sees clubs finish on equal points & countbacks being required to establish a winner - this season the Redbacks were clear by several points such was our dominance.

    Since the clubs inception in 1996 it took a decade before we secured our first junior club championship - back in 2006/7 - since then the club has won it on four more occasions, and with this seasons win completes a hat-trick taking the last three in a row!

    For the NDCA Club Championship it's calculated a little differently. All points scored across the season by every team count towards the final result making it significantly more difficult for a large club such as ours to win. Interestingly & despite that, this season it was the two largest clubs who finished well ahead of the field which makes our significant winning margin even more impressive!

    The senior clubs maiden club championship was realised in 2007/8 which came on the back of a lot of hard work as we pushed for significant change within the club. For too long the Redbacks were widely seen as the easy-beats of the district so we went about developing a winning culture within the club which translated onto the field. This is the clubs third club championship in the last six seasons and with our teams making the finals in all eight grades, the Redbacks transformation into a powerhouse across the district has been realised.

    While the club is certainly on top of the world right now, we have no plans of resting any time soon - here at the Redbacks we pride ourselves on being a progressive club and will continue to strive for success, not just on the field, but off it as well.

    Cost: Registered Players $10* - Guests $35

    Junior Presentation 2012/13

    Once again our junior presentation will be held at Regentville Hall as follows;

    As in past seasons, the presentations will be held in age groups across the afternoon/evening with a BBQ dinner provided in-between for attendees.
